Did you know that there is such a thing as a National Museum of Language? Washington, D.C., is home to lots of museums but who knew that something like this existed?! The Museum is not open everyday — only Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 am until 4 pm and from 1 until 4 pm on the first and third Sundays of the month. It is located in College Park, Maryland, which is home to the University of Maryland. The museum’s goals are “to educate and inform all those who have an interest or who need to have a better understanding of some aspect of language. . .” Its website http://languagemuseum.org has online language exhibits as well.
